Open the Book Team whose mission is to see every child encountering the Bible at school during their primary years and feel strongly that Open the Book provides us with the opportunity to nurture good relationships with our local primary schools.

Community Outings were established to meet the needs of the less physically able who didn’t have their own transport for outings or relished the companionship of others.  We also hire a minibus once a month for additional trips to places within a 20-30 mile radius, including trips to the theatre and other shows, for meals out and shopping, and even the occasional canal cruise.  Organiser: Dorothy Bone, 01452 855112.

Ladies Who Lunch was started because the St John’s Day Centre closed at the end of 2016.  Once a month those ladies, who have been  friends for many years, are taken to a venue for lunch by the minibus.  The same people are invited each month in order to continue their longstanding friendship.  Organiser:  Dorothy Bone.
